Trophies
A collection of items picked up in captured Japanese camps. At the top on the left is the badge of rank of a Sergeant Major. The two little packets alongside contain formalin. A range of bottles containing medicinal drugs are laid out: the large clear vials contain distilled water; the medium clear vials contain 10cc calcium solution; the small clear vials contain hydrochloric acid; and the brown vials contain 5cc Thrombogen. The postcard in the upper right shows a scene at Penang and is by Fukuda Toyoshino. The upside down leaflet is a page from a reference book on Regimental and Battalion Infantry Training. The upright tablet reads 'to the fallen officers and soldiers'., and in the bottom right, part of a diary is shown open at the Imperial Japanese Army rescript in which the soldier is exhorted to die for his country.
