Flying Fortress
Description
One of a series of paintings done at 4 U.S Air Depot at Townsville. This was outside No. 1 Workshop Hangar where heavy bombers, "Flying Fortresses" and "Liberators", are repaired and overhauled. This aircraft is of a very latest type (B17F) having a transparent nose of moulded perspex.
