Lieutenant Edmond Russell
Description
This portrait of Lieutenant Edmond Henry Cecil Russell (VX11769), 2nd Australian Forestry Unit, Royal Australia Engineers, was painted when the artist visited the AFU at Thornhill, Dumfriesshire. Prior to his enlistment in the Australian Army, Edmond Russell was employed as a civilian saw-miller.
