Thanksgiving service in celebration of Victory in Europe held on the steps of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, 9 May 1945
Description
On the steps of the Australian War Memorial under an Autumn sky a thanksgiving service in celebration of the Victory in Europe is held. Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester attended the service which was conducted by the Right Reverend E H Burgmann, Bishop of Goulburn. The flag on the right is that of the Governor General of Australia, His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester.
