Well-deck, aft. - in the Red Sea
Description
A scene on board the transport ships, Free French HT "Felix Roussel", Red Sea, 1942. Dargie noted, "The troops sit or stand about, surrounded by a litter of half-read & discarded newspapers which have been distributed by the Red Cross. Some of men play cards; others group together and talk; all carry life-belts. Hung across the deck can be seen the washing of the ship's crew, whose quarters were just above".
