Cutting firewood for Changi camp
Description
Men of the AIF Forestry unit cutting wood. This work party was established in the very early days of the men's captivity, as wood for fuel for cooking and wood for structures of the camp were required immediately. The trees within the camp boundary were the first to be utilised, and as the years progressed, the men were forced to seek rubber trees further from the camp.
