Sponging a malaria patient
Description
Private Hazel Lugge, AAMWS sponges down a malaria patient Private Ken Glover, at the Land Headquarters Medical Research Unit at Redlynch near Cairns. In the background Matron Beryl Emma Burbidge, from the LHQ Medical Research Unit and the interior of the ward are visible. The artist Nora Heysen was one of three women appointed as official war artists during the Second World War.
