Prayers at divisions, HMAS "Lonsdale"
Description
Not much is known about Rex Julius. He enlisted in the Navy in 1940, aged 26. In 1944, he was recommended for an appointment with the RAN Historical Records Section after senior officers saw a portfolio of his drawings. Rex Julius died from illness on 19 May 1944 while at Milne Bay, New Guinea, before he had had a chance to fulfill the requirements of this appointment.
