Belsen doctor
Description
The Hungarian member of the SS, Fritz Klein was the Bergen-Belsen Camp doctor, and earlier a physician at Auschwitz. He subjected inmates to appalling medical experiments and would later hang for his offences. Moore was struck by this medical doctor who was not only indifferent to the death and disease which surrounded him but also played a role in creating it. He is pictured as unfeeling and unrepentant.
