Description
D11 Gunner Samuel Fejo, CMF, Fixed Defences Citizen Military Forces, Darwin. Fejo was a gunner in the Fixed Defences Citizen Military Forces, Darwin, and an Aboriginal member of the Militia. While in Darwin as an official artist in late 1942, Arthur Murch observed that Private Fejo was one of about half a dozen Aborigines attached to Fortress Command, which was dubbed the "Darwin Black Watch".
