The end of a 109
Description
The crashed enemy Messerschmitt 109 Fighter was found in the wadi at Gazala and subsequently used by one of No.3 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force pilots as a target for practice at ground strafing. Some petrol was placed in the cockpit - incendiary bullets did the rest, Gazala, Libya.
