Russian POWs picking cabbages, Stalag Luft III, Germany
Description
Two figures in bulky clothing work in a vegetable garden picking cabbages. On the right is a cart laden with cabbages, and there is a shed in the background. Stalag Luft III, Sagan (Zagan), is located in present-day Poland, but it is accurate to refer to Sagan, Germany, for the time this work was made it was considered to be a part of Germany during the war.
