Lieutenant Brian Moloney
Description
Portrait depicting WX4210 Lieutenant Brian William Moloney, MM, at the time that the portrait was painted Lieutenant Moloney was attached to Headquarters, 6th "Australian Division instructing troops in the use of flame-throwers in the Aitape area. As a Private in the 2/16th Australian Infantry Battalion he won the Military Medal at the crossing of the Litani River in Syria in 1941. He was killed in action, 1945, during a Flame-throwing attack on the Japanese, New Guinea.
