Description
In a bomb-devastated village, a little girl views a column of German prisoners marching past, and asks her mother: 'Tell me, mummy!...Are they the ones who killed daddy?' Coutin 1987 (66D). This work was published in 'Le Figaro', 23 February 1916, p. 3 (66A). There is a drawing of this subject in a private collection (66B). It was included in 'De la Marne au Rhin' I, 64 (66E).
