Description

A propaganda film; Frank Hurley's synopsis; this film was made at the express wish of the GOC and the head of the Postal Services. There has been a great falling off in mail from Australia to the troops, no doubt due to relatives and friends of those here expecting the men home in the very near future. As it seems definite that the AIF will be in these parts for a considerable time to come it is hoped that by a wide distribution of this film, letter writing will receive some stimulus. The more mail received here the better for the morale of the troops. Mail services are being re-established and efforts are being made here to encourage writing home, which trough circumstances has fallen into neglect.
