Lofoten raid
Description
A Ministry of Information film produced by the Army Film Unit in collaboration with the Crown Film Unit. With an eye witness account by Lieutenant Commander Anthony Kimmins. The story of the Royal Navy and British and Norwegian Army raid to destroy the cod liver oil plants at Lofoten Islands Norway. Shows the destruction of the plant, the rounding up of Germans and Quislings (i.e. collaborators), Norwegian volunteers taken aboard and captured German Army and Navy personnel.
