Blackout (ABC of ARP)
Description
Produced for the Department of Home Security by Cinesound Productions Pty Ltd with Technical direction by the National Emergency Services of NSW. Introduced by Stuart F. Browne a London ARP expert. An instructional cinema trailer on how the householder is to observe Blackouts. Shows simple methods and devices to ensure that no light will be emitted from a house. Provision of fresh air by the use of home made light traps for ventillators. Also shows procedures for the blackout motorcar and bicycle lights. Safe movement outdoors during a blackout by the use of bold white lines on steps, white directional arrows and wearing light coloured clothing.
