Lancaster bomber here 'Q' for Queenie
Description
Lancaster bomber 'Q' for Queenie piloted by Flight Lieutenant Peter S Isaacson, DFC, DFM, departed from Britain 22 May 1943 arriving Australia 4 June 1943 via Atlantic, Canada and the Pacific. The flight was officially claimed as a new world record for a one crew flight over such a route. The aircraft is shown on the ground taking off and in flight. Lord and Lady Gowrie are shown with Isaacson and crew. Isaacson records short address on flight. The crew are: Flt-Lt McNielson, Flt-Lt A.V. Ritchie, P/O H.D. Delaney, Flt Engineer P/O E.M. Copley, Flt-Sgt J. Grose, Flt-Sgt A.E. Page, Corporal C. Spencer.
