Coverage of Avro Lancaster 'G' for George of 460 Sqn RAAF at Prestwick, Scotland before setting off on a 1300 mile flight to Australia via Canada and the United States of America. The film shows the captain 404506 Flight Lieutenant Edward Arthur Hudson DFC and Bar and crew bid farewell by the Air Officer Commanding RAAF Overseas Headquaters, Air Vice Marshal Henry Neilson Wrigley CBE DFC AFC, the captain and crew boarding and the take off.
