Focke-Wulf 190 (Aircraft recognition)
Description
A British military training film on aircraft recognition produced by Army Kinematography Services (AKS) in conjunction with the Admiralty and Air Ministry for the Directorate of Army Kinematography, approved Septembetr 1943. This film shows the German Focke Wulf 190 single seat fighter monoplane in flight. Using a freeze technique with a superimposed animated drawing the recognition features of the aircraft are intensified for the viewer. The aircraft in this film is a captured FW-190 and wears RAF markings. The film concludes with a mock dogfight between the FW-190 and a Republic P-47 Thunderbolt of 63 Fighter Squadron, 9th Air Force.
