Norden bombsight: principles
Description
A War Department training film 1-871 produced by Army Airforces Training Film production laboratories Wright Field. Uses animated diagrams to show the workings of the Norden bombsight as well as props and other aids to help visualise the workings. Presents the theory of range-finding with the Norden bombsight; correlation of sighting angle and range angle, determination of course through estimation and correction for drift, trail and cross trail; principles are demonstrated on MI model by animation with indoor dry-runs and improvised equipment.
