Sergeant (Sgt) Thomas Currie 'Diver' Derrick DCM, of Adelaide, SA, who led a South Australian Unit in a successful attack against the Japanese held village of Sattelberg, hoists the Australian flag. Sgt Derrick was awarded the Victoria Cross (VC) for his part in the attack.
