Thailand. 1945. Captain Noguchi, Imperial Japanese Army, the camp commandant at Kanchanaburi (Kanburi) Officers' camp, was an unrelenting sadist, who did his utmost to humiliate the personnel in this camp between January 1945 and August 1945. For his brutality and ill treatment of the prisoners officers under his care, he was tried by the War Crimes Commission. Found to be guilty, he was sentenced to death by hanging. (Donor B. Theobald)
