Description
Corporal Peter Teague, 1 Armoured Regiment, showing the Japanese sword which he captured after shooting a Japanese soldier in a tunnel on Vasey Highway during the OBOE 2 Operation. Also identified is Sapper B Hogan, 2/9 Field Company (second from right at the back) and to his right is Lieutenant John Emmott. In the right foreground is VX18152 Sapper Clement James 'Tich' Russell, an engineer who was later killed on 5 July 1945 in the destruction of 3 Troop.
