Her Royal Highness, Mary, the Princess Royal, Viscountess Lascelles (left) chatting with (left to right) VX707 Lieutenant (Lt) Jack Wilton Knox Champ, VX3807 Lt John Gerald Rawson and VX17561 Lt George Bolding, all members of the AIF and ex-prisoners of war of the Germans. The men were in the same prisoner of war camp as Viscount Lascelles (George Henry Hubert Lascelles), son of the Princess, where he was known as George Lascelles. The occasion is the monthly reception for ex-prisoners of war given by the Allies welcoming committee at the Dorchester Hotel.
