A delegation of members of the Senate and Parliament visit the Anafartalar Group commander Colonel Mustafa Kemal Bey (Ataturk) (fourth from left, pointing with upraised arm). Second from left is Major (later General) Izzettin Calislar. The Anafarta Zone stretched from Chunuk Bair (south) to Kiretch Tepe (north of Suvla). The caption on the photograph is in both Ottoman and Turkish script and was written after 1923 when this script was brought into use.
