8th Division ex- prisoners of war on the deck of the Highland Chieftain after she berthed. VX47533 Corporal Thomas Henry Fagan and VX57435 Driver John Charles Davon of 105 Transport Company AASC with NX56106 Private George Morris Donaldson of the 2/19th Battalion. All are amputees; the middle soldier displays his prosthetic leg, probably constructed in a prison camp.
