Nurses and physiotherapists aboard the 2/1 Australian Hospital Ship Manunda. From left to right: NX70208 Lieutenant Alyson Manning Mills, NX70312 Lieutenant Joan Holland Somerville, NX702111 Sister Margaret Augusta de Mestre and NX35145 Captain Lorraine Stewart Blow. Sister de Mestre was killed in action when the Manunda was bombed during the first Japanese air-raid on Darwin on 19 February 1942.
