Studio portrait of 6184 Private (Pte) Edward Morgan Ford, 23rd Battalion. A clerk prior to enlisting 13 September 1916, Pte Ford embarked for overseas service aboard HMAT Argyllshire (A8) on 31 October 1916. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal (L Cpl) on 28 March 1917. L Cpl Ford was killed in action in Belgium on 4 October 1917.
