Studio portrait of 2603 Private (Pte) Arthur Rayworth Davison, 6th Battalion. A horse trainer prior to enlisting on 15 August 1915, Pte Davison embarked for overseas service aboard HMAT Anchises (A68) on 26 August 1915. He was re-mustered as a Gunner (Gnr) and transferred to the 14th Field Artillery Brigade on 15 August 1917. Gnr Davison was killed in action on 20 August 1917, aged 28 years.
