Description
Wounded Afghan National Police members, the victims of a suicide bombing, are brought into the US Forces Forward Operating Base (FOB) outside of Khogyani village.
This image was taken by photographer Stephen Dupont who, along with journalist Paul Raffaele, was travelling with the counter narcotics convoy when it was hit by a 12 year old suicide bomber. Dupont suffered superficial wounds and shock from the impact but continued to document the devastation of the bombing before being transferred to the US air base in Jalalabad for treatment.
