Len Millhouse interviewed by Georgina Binns for her Project : Music of the Boer War and First World War
Description
Len Millhouse, age 86, interviewed by Georgina Binns in Moonah, Hobart. Len volunteered for the Light Horse and then enlisted in the infantry and went to Glasgow where meningitis the black flu broke out. He went to France in 1917 and was promoted to Lance Corporal. He recalls memories of donating blood for a blood transfusion for another soldier, George Mawson, and the connection they retained after the war. Len Millhouse sings at the end of the interview.
