Description
Kathleen Avery interviewed by Georgina Binns in Glenelg, South Australia. Kathleen nee Bryant was from Broken Hill and trained in the Army Nursing Service in South Australia in 1914 for three years. After training had finished she joined the forces in 1917. She recalls wounded soldiers singing in the wards in Egypt. She also went to Salonika, Greece, where she stayed until armistice. Kathleen discusses coming home and quarantine.
