Studio portrait of 4142 Lance Corporal (L Cpl) Albert Edward Collins 12th Battalion. L Cpl Collins, a gardener from Summerton, SA, enlisted on 30 August 1915 and embarked from Adelaide on 11 January 1916 aboard HMAT Borda (A30). L Cpl Collins died of wounds in France in 1917 and is buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery, Grevillers, Albert Bapaume Area, France. He was aged 22.
