Description
An unidentified crew member from HMAS Parramatta's bridge flashing the light on the port side to warn an unauthorised vessel to stay out of the exclusion zone. One of a series of photographs taken aboard HMAS Parramatta by Mal Booth, Head of the Australian War Memorial's Research Centre, as part of the Memorial's Curators in the Field program. This program continues the Memorial's tradition of documenting Australia's experience of war, through observing the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and collecting records, photographs, oral histories and objects for the Memorial's National Collection.
