Outdoor portrait of Herb "a most casual customer from Brisbane", sitting on a pile of kitbags in camp. Herb is most likely 38730 Herbert Brambell Evers, later 6th Field Artillery Brigade, who returned to Australia on 13 July 1919. From the collection of 38721 Gunner (Gnr) Harold William Charlton, 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column, who embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 19 December 1917 and returned to Australia in 1919.
