Description

Lieutenant Colonel, Geoff D T Cooper SX1435, Chief Officer, 2/27th Battalion, interviewed by the author Peter Brune as research for his books on Second World War New Guinea conflicts (Brune catalogue 30 and 31). Lt Col Cooper was born on 2 April 1912 in Adelaide and enlisted on 8 November 1939 in Leabrook, SA. He was awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire in January 1941.
