Studio portrait of 973 Corporal Egbert Somers Perry, 37th Battalion. A farmer from Tallangatta, Victoria, he enlisted in February 1916, and was killed in action at the Battle of Messines in Belgium on 8 June 1917. He has no known grave. His name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial at Ypres.
