Description
A Bushmaster Infantry Mobility Vehicle (also known as a Protected Mobility Vehicle - Medium PMV-M) at Camp Holland. Mounted to the Bushmaster is an M2HB 12.7mm (.50 calibre) heavy machine gun fitted to a Protected Weapon Station (PWS) enabling it to be aimed and fired from within the vehicle. One of a series of photographic studies taken by the Australian War Memorial's Official Artist Ben Quilty, who travelled to Afghanistan with the Australian Defence Force in October 2011.
