The entrance to the Australian Compound at Al Minhad Air Base. The sign on the gate reads "AUSSIE GATE". One of a series of photographic studies taken by the Australian War Memorial's Official Artist Ben Quilty, who travelled to Afghanistan with the Australian Defence Force in October 2011.
