Album of 54 pages, 56 including the inside covers, containing 343 photographs and 94 postcards relating to the service of 184 Sydney Martin Lord, 1st Australian General Hospital. Lord embarked with his unit at Melbourne in the RMS Mooltan on 18 May, 1915, serving in Egypt until he was transferred to the 2nd Field Ambulance and sent to France in March 1916. He was transferred to the 1st Division Signals Company in February 1918, and then back to the 2nd Field Ambulance in November. He returned to Australia in August 1919. Lord's album contains photographs and souvenir postcards relating predominantly to his service in Egypt. This includes numerous locally produced hand-coloured photographs and named and unnamed photographs of individuals with whom he served. The album contains numerous handwritten annotations. The album also includes a print of Reginald Garth, a 12 year old Perth boy who stowed away on the Mooltan.
