Augusta, Sicily, Italy. c. September 1943. The Italian seaplane base at the port of Augusta. Shown are a number of Italian seaplanes captured intact when the port was occupied by Allied Forces. Several of these aircraft were flown by No. 3 (Kittyhawk) Squadron RAAF, an all Australian Fighter Bomber Squadron.
