Studio portrait of 1302A Private (Pte) Donald Donaldson, 3rd Battalion, of Boggabri, NSW. A farmer prior to enlistment, Pte Donaldson embarked with the 33rd Infantry Battalion from Sydney aboard HMAT Marathon (A74) on 4 May, 1916. He was killed in action in France on 5 November 1916, aged 26.
