SS Tanda
Description
British Merchant vessel which was torpedoed and sunk off the coast of Mangalore in the Arabian Sea in July 1944. It was on route from Melbourne to Bombay via Colombo. During the First World War the vessel had been commissioned as a hospital ship HMAS Madras.
