Description

Informal outdoor portrait of 16569 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Bevelin George (Bev) Davis, at the RAAF Engineering School. Davis enlisted on 25 May 1940 and later served with 456 Squadron, RAAF. LAC Davis' brother-in-law, WX3770 Corporal Henry William Alfred Bray (later MM), was taken prisoner of war (POW). From Stalag VIII B POW camp in Poland, Cpl Bray sent LAC Davis two postcards which are now held by the Memorial at PR05620.
