Description
Short Magazine Lee-Enfield No 1 Mk III bolt action rifle. Receiver marked with a star over Lithgow SHT.LE III within a shield over 1913 under the bolt arm with VIC over 18581and the serial number on the breech. The butt, with a brass disc inset on the right side, is stamped 12/13 and has Commonwealth of Australia Military Forces Victoria within a roundel. It is complete with all parts including the long range volley sights and a magazine cut off plate. The rifle is complete with matching nose cap and action.

This rifle was made during the first year of production at the Lithgow Small Arms factory and was issued in December 1913 to the Victorian Military Forces.
