Outdoor portrait of 1044 Private (Pte) George Irwin Nash, 52nd Battalion of Bellerive, Tasmania. A labourer prior to enlistment, Pte Nash embarked with the 12th Battalion from Hobart aboard HMAT Geelong (A2) on 20 October 1914. He was killed in action in France on 3 September 1916, aged 22.
