Studio portrait of 5839 Private (Pte) Charles McCulloch, 18th Battalion, of Elgin, Scotland. A farmer prior to enlistment Pte McCulloch embarked with the 16 Reinforcements from Sydney aboard HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 7 October 1916. Pte McCulloch was killed in action in France on 26 February 1917, aged 29.
