Studio portrait of 1271 Trooper (Tpr) Eric John Rae, 13th Australian Light Horse Regiment. A clerk from Camberwell, Vic prior to enlistment, Pte Rae embarked with the 6th Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Ulysses on 27 October 1915. After serving with his unit on the Western Front he returned to Australia on 15 May 1919.
