Informal outdoor portrait of Trooper (Tpr) David 'Poppy' Pearce, 2/14th Light Horse Regiment, in Afghanistan. Tpr Pearce served with the 1st Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force (MTRF-1) in Uruzgan Province. He was killed in action on 08 October 2007, when the ASLAV which he was driving on patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED). 'Poppy's', the Australian recreation hut at Tarin Kot, is dedicated to the memory of Trooper Pearce.
